The tech giant Meta has released 3D avatars for Instagram Stories and DMs and new avatars on Facebook as well as Messenger. The new avatars are more customizable, expressive , and user-friendly. Although it’s only available on Meta platforms however, the avatars have been available for a long time in Snapchat in the past. OEMs also have their own versions of it. Animoji on Apple, AR Emoji for Samsung and many more.
The update came just five months after Meta introduced 3D avatars on Instagram in Canada and The United States, and Mexico. The 3D avatars first came out on Facebook in 2020.
This update will also include new facial forms as well as assistive devices designed for people who have disabilities, such as hearing aids and cochlear implants for both ears in various shades. A sticker on Facebook Instagram DMs, Instagram, along with Messenger will also feature these features.
The update is believed to introduce subtle adjustments to certain facial forms, providing greater options for customizing avatars.

Make sure that the Facebook application is up to date to the latest version.
When you open Facebook, on the bottom right of your screen, you’ll see three straight lines.
