The Texas Chainsaw Massacre house has been sold

For a long time, the house was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre house set on the same piece of land that it was situated on, when director Tobe Hooper, his crew and cast filmed the film there in 1973. The road that passed by it was blocked off but the world was slowing down on it. The property where the house once stood is now part of a mixed-use project known as La Frontera however, it was in the 90s that this house went on sale, and relocated approximately 60 miles south of Round Rock, Texas to Kingsland, Texas

which was later transformed into which was later transformed into Grand Central Cafe and Club Car Bar and Club Car Bar, which is located within the premises of the Antlers Hotel. A number of Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan events have been held in the home throughout the many years. Unfortunately, the house is now being sold as well as its fate is unclear.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre cast member Allen Danziger took to Instagram to announce that another fan-friendly event is scheduled to take place at his house prior to when it goes to new owners. The event will be called The Last Curtain Call for Chainsaw Danziger, and he will be there for a showing of the documentary, pictures with fans, autograph signings as well as live music. Edwin Neal, who played the role of Hitch-Hiker, will be in attendance, along with actor Parrish Randall. Randall doesn’t possess any Chainsaw credits but was in genre films such as Chillerama or Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie. The event is scheduled to take place on the 29th of October, starting at 3pm until dusk.

The film was directed by Tobe Hooper based on an original script written by him and Kim Henkel, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre includes the following synopsis

When Sally discovers that her grandfather’s grave might have been vandalizedby vandals, she and her brother who is paraplegic, Franklin, set out along with their fellows to find out what’s going on. After a trip to their old home, they encounter an enraged group of killers who live next to them. When the group is attacked one after another with a chainsaw by Leatherface who wears an encasement made of human skin The survivors must do all they can to get out.

Danziger along with Neal were joined by Marilyn Burns, Paul A. Partain, Jim Siedow, William Vail, Teri McMinn John Dugan, and Gunnar Hansen.
